This has some Gothic features on the outside, very plain and unassuming. There are a numerous amount of steps that lead up to the top.

Inside the church is three naves and I noticed that the columns are all different suggesting that they were reused from different Roman buildings. Many frescoes have been preserved well. The wooden ceiling is beautiful with its golden 3-D look.

Towards the alter end you can see a dragon symbol which is the symbol for Pope Gregory XIII whom helped build the church. Patronage of the popes was very important for the success and expansion of the Catholic church. To show their success and power they did this.
